Clay in a Day - Platter Monday January 21st 6pm-8pm
This class is designed as a 1 day project to get your hands dirty, and give you some experience on how pottery is made. In this class we will work on making custom platters. You will design your shape and size, and add texture or embellishments to make it truly unique. The slab hand-building technique you will learn is truly a versatile technique to put in your creative tool belt. You have the option to add underglaze color/design, or choose a glaze color from the dip and pour options. After you leave your creation in clay, it will be bisque fired, glazed by your instructor, and put in its final firing. We will call/email when your project is ready to be picked up. If you need your creation shipped we can do that with the cost of shipping paid before the item is shipped out.

Wheel in a Day Second Wednesday of Each Month 6pm-8pm
If you have been peeking in the windows of the studio, or have been doing a drive-by glance because those potters wheels are so interesting... But you can't find the time to commit to a weekly schedule... YOU ARE IN LUCK! Wheel in a day is designed just for you. Come in for just two hours of your time and give it a go. You will get a crash course in centering, bowl forms, and cylinders. When you are finished you pick one of your best pieces, and we will do the rest. Normally to create something in clay takes about a month, so the multiple firings and glazing will be done by your instructor and we'll call you when its ready to pick up. If there are pieces that you just can't live without, you can have those fired and glazed as well. Just an extra $8/piece and they will live on as your masterpiece. Reserve your spot in advance. Space is limited. Levels: Beginner & Intermediate Cost: $40 per person Call or Email: firstname.lastname@example.org to sign up!

Kids Clay Day - 4 Weeks Ages 8-12 Call to schedule a session that works for you!
Home school programs welcome. We explain and explore the fundamentals of clay construction in pinch pots, coils, and slabs. We learn about scoring and slipping, but after that we pretty much let them go for it (with support and supervision, of course)! We find that our youngest students bring lots of imagination, and we assist them in expressing their ideas in clay. Words such as color, form, shape, texture, and composition will be used, but the kids make it up as they go. We give them lots of encouragement, tools, and clay to make it happen.
